Several Times i have seen some companies are paying the wages for 26 days (Leave Without Pay) only and others are paying 31 days including Sunday (Leave with Pay).

Can any one tell me please what is the correct procedure for the wages payments. And how much EPF contribution will be deducted.

Now in UP Minimum wages are Apx. 284 /Day (Unskilled)

Employees who are engaged on Daily Wages, Employees who are engaged on Monthly wages get salary calculated on the basis of their appointment

Either of the ways has to be followed for both: payments & deductions. Using two different ways for sake of financial gains is illegal & immoral!

Dear Manoj,
Since you are talking of Minimum wages, the weekly off day is a component (inclusive) in Minimum Wages Rate. Therefore the payment is being made for 26 days/27days as the case may be. The PF deduction will be @12% of the basic (Days of work X Rate of wages).
