Hello, I had been terminated from my recent job in the month of August. I resigned from my previous job in the month of May 2017. Since then in my resume I haven't mentioned anything about my new job due to which my unemployment gap becomes 6 months. Can you help me what I should answer if asked about my gap in the interview

Dear Friend,
Whether you have been terminated or resigned? It seems you are hiding, ofcourse, it is your problem.
What the experience you had gain in all these six months, have you tried any thing learning new during the period, have ever you spent some time in experiencing about the job futures for living, will help you out in filling the form.

Hi there,
Being honest, rightly should be the option. As our friend suggested, try to over come your weakness and get yourself updated in technologies , areas of short coming.
If you wish to inform that you have been removed, very few companies might be interested in hiring you. You may inform personal reasons at home front for leaving the job or alternatively, tried your hand at business and has not worked out.
Very few companies will be considerate on such issues.

Dear Friend,
Whenever you want a solution come out with truth, so that learned & experienced members of the community will show you the right path.
In your posting two things mentioned one is "Resigned in the month of May" and second one is "Terminated in the month of August". Which gives me an impression that your new employer terminated you from the job you took in the month of May’2017 after resigned from the 1st job. Your reasonable Job continuity is up to May'2017.
You are not one, there are many people having job discontinuity in spite of that they have got job. The job selection is a skill potent if one is matching the skill requirement of the employer, still the employer have to know the reason of gap. There are several reasons (family, health, higher study etc,) for which people left the job. One should skilfully offer an explanation which should be beyond the doubts.
Do not allow one to act on you, be genuine.
