Whether factory colony workmen comes under factories act?
Respected seniors this is ramu working as dmhr in manufacturing sector. my queries are 1. we have company quarters for employees accommodation near by factory. now we are planning to construct additional family quarters in the same colony through contract agency. then what are the statutory norms applicable for construction work? colony area is not in the scope of factory as per approved drawings. work order will be issued from the company to contract agency for construction work. is contract labour license applicable for contract agency ? what are the statutory norms applicable. kindly advise me 2nd query normally colony maintenance works will be taken up by factory workmen like electricians plumbers carpenters and other housekeeping workmen. if any accidents happen in the colony area while carry out the maintenance works can we mention in the accident report as exact place of accident is " colony area" since it is not the factory premises and can we get any compensation benefits from employees compensation policy for such cases. kindly advise me. ramu

Dear seniors i have doubt regarding workmen compensation act that 1 1 if an organisation is not covered under esic act then workmen compensation act will be apply over there or not. 2. is wc act has been stop from 2010. if yes then why and what is the reason and provision for that. 3. what is the difference between esic and wc act if applicable now.
Two units/factories, is it necessary workmen be paid equal remuneration?
Transfer of a set of employees who are complainant and leading other workmen done from one unit to another unit situated in another state during the conciliation proceeding will be legal and justified? what will be the minimum wages for a company engineering based having unit/factories in various states? minimum wages of respective state will be applicable or minimum wages declared by central govt. is applicable? within same district company has two units/factories is it necessary that workmen should be paid equal remuneration in both units?
Is it necessary to have mediclaim policy if employees are covered under w/c policy ??

Can women workmen be put on overtime ? does the indian factories act allow for this or should we take exemption for keeping women workmen on overtime ?
Confusion between shops & establishment act and factories act
Dear gentlemen we are having an office at sakinaka we are into i.t. firm and rendering sales & services and reparing of laptops desktops printer and scanner of the customer and giving services to the customers. we had covered and taken shops & establishment act license. a few days before factories inspector visited into our office and he noticed us that your office should covered under factories act and you should have factories act license. he had given us 2 days time. please help and guide us that whether we are in factories act and we sholud have to take a compulsory factories act license. already we are having shops & extablishment act license. waiting for your favourable & valued answer. hsa hr
