Rule off staggered off in the factories
I want to know that we are a factory manufacturing auto components. we observe sunday as weekly off. can we call some of our employees on sunday as normal working day and give them staggered off. we are a unionised factory and for last more then 25 years we are giving sunday as weekly off to all our employees working in the factory. if we change their weekly off and give them staggered off will it be legally correct and covered under which section of the factories act1948.
El on saturday and monday, then sunday will be treated as rest day or el?
Any worker who is on el on saturday and monday then sunday will be treated as rest day or el? please also clarify that any employee who is absent saturday and monday then will sunday be treated as absent or rest day? please give the specific answer. as per factory law and up 1950.

Dear all if any factory holiday is falling on sunday then wheather it is treated as factory holiday. secondly suppose 15 aug or any festival is falling on sunday then whether we can include any other festival which is falling on any working day in lieu of 15 aug or any festival. regards menka
What to do if asked to work on sunday?
We had promotions of the product hence we were asked to work on sunday 25th & 26 th jan. we were told you can take a day off later. but they never gave a day off. now again they have asked to work on sunday 15 n m sure they dnt pay us double or will gv us day off later. is this fare for a sales executive who works 99 in the market not to gt a sunday as a holiday??? please help
