One employee joined in the month of 15 June 17 in establishment, met with an accident in 20 July 17 while on duty ,accident report submitted on line , he was admitted ESI hospital . there is no wages paid by the company to the employee during absent days ,since the employee is not present for duty . now employee approached company to pay absent wages since ESI didn't paid amount to him during the absent period of two months. whether ESI dept is liable pay absent period wages to him or not.

In case of Accident ESI will pay for the absent days. If not accident then for Sickness ESI don’t pay the amount till prescribed days completed by the ESI.
