My is new startup company in building construction. We have different different contractors as per the site work.
What is the process i need to do under this act.

1.Timeline:Thirty days before the commencement of construction work
a.Documents Required: Form 1
b.Name of Return / Compliance: Notice of commencement of construction work
c.To be Sent to: Area Inspector who is Asst. Director (IS&H)
d.Name of the Statute:The Building and other Construction Workers Act, 1996
2. Timeline: With in sixty days from Commencement of work
a.Documents Required:
- Application for Registration in Form 1
- Registration Fees as applicable
- Form IV
- Possession Certificate
- List of Directors & Memorandum of Article
- Estimated cost of project
- Project Report
b.Name of Return / Compliance: Registration of construction workers
c.To be Sent to:Registering Officer of the Area who is Deputy Director (IS&H)
d.Name of the Statute:The Building and other Construction Workers Act, 1996
3. Timeline: Within thirty days of completion of the construction project
a.Documents Required:
- Demand Draft of 1% of the project cost excluding cost of land, plant & machinery
- Statement of Total amount
b.Name of Return / Compliance: Welfare of construction workers
c.To be Sent to:Registering Officer of the Area who is Deputy Director (IS&H)
d.Name of the Statute:The Building and other Construction Workers Welfare Cess Act, 1996
As a principal Employer you are liable to take Bocw Licence from your Contractors.
