As per my opinion you should go ahead with practical approach to start Induction / Orientation of new joiner in your organization.
Ask every HOD how much time they required to explain their individual department ask them to share content of their department.
Based on the timings; prepare induction / Orientation visit schedule. take approval from management with all the content including company information session.
If you are planning for batch or individual go ahead with specific dates, ask your recruitment department to plan joining of many employees on the same day so can plan better induction in one single day.
Ask for department nomination for induction session in their department for better arrangement.
Start with basics and than change the induction / Orientation procedure for improvement.
