Maternity leaves - do i need to wait for 3 months to get my salary from esic?
Hi team name: sweta designation: executive customer service joining: 2/25/2013. i am working in a private company call center and went on maternity leaves. they asked me to go to esic hospital to approve my maternity leaves. esi hospital said that it is not approved by them. they asked me to deliver the baby in esic hospital to get maternity leaves. i delivered baby in private hospital. later i come to know that i need to submit a form in esic to get an approval for maternity leaves. on august 17 2016 esic hospital asked me to fill a maternity leaves form which i did. my employer is not giving my salary and they only paid for my working days prior to my delivery. it s been 22 days after my delivery. esic hospital is saying that it will take 3 months and after 3 months i have to visit esic for further documentation to get my salary. do i need to wait for 3 months to get my salary or i should receive it during maternity leaves? am i eligible for any medical bonus? regards sweta

Dear seniors one of my staff member is on maternity leave from dec 2016 tough she does not cover under she has been given maternity leave for 3 months. now as the new bill has passed from parliament that the maternity leave is extended for 24 weeks from 12 weeks can we extend her leaves as she has applied for extension also she will be on loss of pay but we need to give her benefit of the act. any information regarding the new bill pass links only with the esic but what if a woman is not covered under esic and is eligible for maternity benefit under act. kindly give your valuable suggestion & feedback.
Maternity benefit- rules regarding extended maternity leaves with and without esic
Hi learned seniors. one of our female nurse in our branch eye care hospital applied for maternity leave by consulting a private doctor initially with just a doctor s normal prescription of medicines and the diagnosis without advice for maternity leave and had already enjoyed 6 months of leave but when a letter was sent to her for immediate joining she responded that she is already under esic maternity leave benefit of 26 weeks and will be joining only after that. neither she has reported to hr that she has applied for esic maternity leave in between her continued leave nor she kept touch with hr of that branch during her previous 6 months leave. normally we know that 26 weeks maternity leave may be further extended for one month if complexity arises and prescription supported by doctor s special advice. in this scenario what can be done as the concerned staff member is already enjoying more than 6 months leave and has extended it further by providing a reason of esic sanctioned leave. plz guide
Maternity benefit under esic.
Dear fellow members i have one query related to the maternity benefit under one of our female employees is covered under she is pregnant now. but in her two years of employment with us she has not taken any esic benefit or even taken tic. she went on leave by just giving simple leave application of prolong leave. meanwhile we have arranged tic to provide her maternity benefit. which tic not reached to her. as per my knowledge she need to visit esic office once before edd to get the benefit. but before that we came to know that there was a miscarriage. kindly advise that if she is still eligible for the said benefit under esic ? thanking you in advance. maulik dave

Dear sir / madam one employee has completed 85 days of employment in three months. under maternity benefit act is she is eligible for maternity leaves. whereas the act says not less than eighty days in the twelve months. what is the eligibility period of maternity benefit either 80 days or 12 months. regards
