Hi friends,

Kindly resolve my problem.... Our company is an Engg concern which does pgts for US clients...and has a good name in the market, among the employees.... But still I am unable to get the profiles to fill the lateral exits..

Our mgt gives me a man power requistion form and provides sufficient time but still unable to get the right kind of profile....

The main reasons are either.....

1. There is no enough profiles in Naukri for this field (I am currently using Naukri, I have also tried Monster)..

2. If there are profiles then either the candidate's CTC is high or he is not willing to relocate....

3. If somehow I get suitable profile also I have issues... Y because either the candidate does not turn up irrespective of informing him / her about the interview time and even after asking them to send the confirmation regarding attending the interview or they get rejected in the interview....

Now what is it that I am supposed to do ? Where is the mistake ? Is my method of recruiting candidates incorrect....

Pls.. help me out as every time my mgt asks y it is being delayed... I am unable to answer..... because every time our mgt cannot increase the pay....

Kindly give ur views....

Dear Friend,
There is no other option for searching the people from Jobs sites.
Its better to search the candidate from job site.
but the main thing is that you have to see that the profile you want what is the market status of that profile, their CTC, JD etc.
You have to match with the market so that you will find the good candidate.
dont worry about that.
first you see the market compensation & then go ahead.

this the problem almost every recruiter face ,you can go for the reference this is the one way and adopt some new methods to scarch the profiles
don't restrict your scarch to job portals
say for example in orkut you go the perticular community and scarch for the candidate ext....

Hi Friend,
As you said, our company has very good brand name in market. I don't feel in getting more candidates for better company?
In your company, you getting an account with naukri, monster etc.. but, they are not giving updated profiles,etc..
Why can't you go employee referral program? it really work out... give some bonus, gift vouchers, extra pay for referral employees, it really gives you an output.

Here i can guide you good way of recruitment...
Firstly, ask you naukri agent to help you with searching good profiles now days they can come to your office for assistance.
Secondly, Go for Hot vacancies or proffered employer for the posting your job.
Thirdly, go for some good consultants who will help you define your search and and also line up candidates for interview....
If you want i can give you some good consultant name and number.....who really having good services they providing to our company.....
lastly, you can also search good profiles in Naukri2000.com who is having free access to posting as well as database.

Thanks a lot friends for ur valauble suggestions...... I have tried out all the alternatives as suggested by u....

Like acc. to the market I have kept my mgt informed that there r companies who r paying better than r who r equal to us..but the mgt says that v cannot just like that go on revising the pay of the employees.... Infact after doing a broader study, I have recently suggested by management about increasing the pay... and then have also done that but the increase in pay is not that good that v are paying our employees more than the other companies in the market... V r offering the same pay that is being offered to the employees of other concern... But the prob is some companies r yet to do the appraisal for their employees...So after appraisal they may go beyond our pay range.... So this prob prevails...

All the more my CEO says everytime" Y is it u say everytime ur not getting profiles ? Y cannot u go for reference....

But I have also tried this..... I have asked the employees of our concern a lot many times to refer their friends.... But they say that soory our friends r not interested...

I sometimes feel very much irritated when my CEO says that "Ur not recruiting candidates on a fast track.. U r always delaying the process... U know how much amount of prod. is hampered because of this...

What to do ? I feel there is no one here to understand my problem... Since I am the lone HR in this company and I need to take care of the needs of the 3 centers which v have.....

Pls...... help me...

The best method what i can suggest you is go for Consultants trust me it really work......
You are only to tell them the what salary range you are looking for in what experience .....and seen they will line up the candidates for you......
and secondly search candidates from Naukri2000.com they are having good data base ...try these matter sure will give some result...

Please note: Whether it is Manpower Consultants or Job Portals or Reference or Freelance, there is something called relationship in each of this

Instead of thinking that no one understands your problem in your company, why don't you try changing your approach to them.

When relationship is good, Employees automatically volunteer to help you out either by giving good consultant reference / candidate reference etc.

You have never seen teh face of any of us. But you confide in us (Cite HR forum). Think if you are sharing teh same rapport internally in your organisation

Increasing the CTC is not the only solution. It does'nt work out most of the times

See, if, you are contributing in the preparation of Manpower requirement form which is now being given to you by your Management. When you yourselves get involved in the preparation of the same, you will get a clearer picture of what you are searching for and will enable you work more focussed.

Also note, HR involves a lot of selling and marketing. If candidates do not turn up for interviews, then it is not their problem always. Probably, as HR people, we have not sold / marketed our company's image and brand in the proper perspective which kindles the interest of teh candidates to come for the interview.

Please think about all the above. Do a self analyses. Do remember, we are responsible both for our success as well as for our failures. All the best for a honest self analyses and course correction

I think u r in recruiter-HR.
First u hve to create a own database through friends and own staff and make a seperate file so that u can get a right people at the right time.
U can create a strong network, it will help u

Recruitment is nothing but marketing the philosphy and policies of your company. Good salary is no doubt, important and crucial but equally important is the work-culture of your company, career plans for employees, growth opportunities and performance management system.
You need to work on this.
