Minimum wages & contract employee
Hi there one of the good industrial organizations are enganging contract workers in the main production or manufacturing process for support to their regular workers. is there any restrictions under the law for enganging such contract labour to the main production activity for any organization? also if the contractor is not paying minimum wages as per the prescribed applicable minimum wages act . is there any binding for the principal employer to pay the wage according to law? or should have to pay the difference of the decided minimum wages and the actual paid wages by contractor please advice in this regard... possibly through mail. atul atulsmalve26yahoo.com

Can any one let me know the revised new minimum wage structure of gujarat effective 1st april 10? should it be basic salary only or gross salary including allownaces like hraconveyancemedicalspeci al allowances and company contribution of pf? i.e minimum wage ctc of the employee?. if it is like this can any one help me giving reference of any act/section of law for reference of managment?

Sir i want to know about rules in minimum wages act... is there will be any problem if we pay to contract labour more than minimum wage set by government? for ex: if minimum wage for a unskilled labour is 255/ we paid 270/ is this causes any issue??

Hello friends if anyone help me in deciding whether under the minimum wages act the wages fixed for a day is inclusive of wages of weekly off? that means whether in a month of 30 days wages to be paid is wage rate x 30 or wage rate x no. of days worked? kindly clarify?
