Clarification on leave policy
Dear all i have recently joined a company into manufacturing mumbai i have been asked to frame the leave policies. company has 15 paid leaves 4 national holidays8 festival holidays. if employees take any leave they deduct the salary and encash 15 paid leaves at the year end. as per law employee has to be given minimum 21 paid leaves. my company is stringent on leaves and says that they will give 21 paid leaves and 4 national holidays no festival holidays. i feel this is not fair on employees part. need suggestions from seniors .

Leave policy and processes that can be designed for an it company
I am working with an it company . i am supposed to revise the leave policy and its process. currently we are providing 12 leaves per financial year. and 10 other festival and national holidays. total 22 leaves in a year. also the festival leaves includes only hindu festivals. pls suggest how can i adjust other festival leaves for other community working at our place without increasing the number of festival leaves provided. kindly let me know the best leave policy and processes that can be designed for the company.

3 national holidays are on saturday or sunday in karnataka , could this be compensated with festival holidays
Dear all this year 2020 3 of the national holidays are on saturday or sunday in karnataka. employees are asking us to compensate those 3 national holidays by giving any other 3 festival holidays. is it ok according to law to compensate those national holidays with festival holidays. please suggest

Dear all please somebody guide me on natioanl and festival holidays rules. the question is that "is a wrokmen is entitled to pay the national and festival holidays if he was continuos absent from his duty and the same holiday comes in between of that duration.is the workmen is entitled to get the holiday wage from the employer. regards abarna
