Would reduce leave days from the entire gross wage and derive the epf wage to contribute to epf?
Dear peers i need your valuable suggestions. for instance an employee s gross salary is 50000/ and epf wage is restricted to 15000/. he has 5 days lop in a month how would you calculate his epf? would you reduce 5 days from his restricted epf wage which is 15000 and calculate epf from the reduced epf wage? or you would reduce 5 days from the entire gross wage and derive the epf wage to contribute to epf? please suggest.

Re: what should be done to create epf and esi only for 5 employees in a startup company
No need of any documents from the employees for registration. initially you have to get the voluntary registration from both esi & epf for coverage. after the coverage you can collect some of the documents such as form 11 nomination forms kyc docs etc... for esi & epf
Pf coverage
As per the epf and miscellaneous act 1952 if an employee draws a wage less than 6500 rs he is to be covered in the pf scheme but what if its more than that ....does it depend on company to company whether they want to contribute to employee provident fund ?? same question to "employee pension scheme " and employee state insurance where the wage/salary drawn should be less than 15000
Re: esi & epf
Sir voluntary coverage is possible in case of epf. it is applicable to establishment employing less than 20 persons. if you want apply for voluntary coverage the employer and the majority of the employer have to give consent letter and submit the requisite documents. once it applies and notified you cannot go out of the act at a later date. regards pradheep
Coverage of esi
Dear sir regarding the coverage of esi i have the following doubt. some of the contract workers are working in our industry on piece rate and all these are covered under esi. most of these people and most of the times they are earning more than rs. 15000/ per month including overtime. they are requesting to bring them out of the coverage of esi. i informed to my boss that all these people should have fixed wage which should be more than rs. 15000/ then only we can bring them out of the coverage. but he is having opinion that since these people are drawing more on most of the times they can brought out of the coverage. what can we do? kindly clarify giri
