Hi all, I have CTS offer letter in my hand, but due to some reasons I cannot get resignation or relieving letter. I will get it after 45 days only, but I have to join within 30 days. Can you pls suggest will cognizant HR will accept to join without resignation or relieving letter, upon request of submitting relieving letter after 15 days of joining? Or is it possible to postpone joining 15 days for the position of team lead?

Hello,

If you get the HR authority in-context, a validation that you would be getting the Relieving Letter in the said time frame (45 days) it will most possibly be accepted without much ruckus. The issues here is about the Resignation Letter and I dont see any plausible reason why you cannot get a Resignation Letter.

You say you are joining CTS as a Team Lead. I believe that at least one of your in-person discussion would have been with the Senior Resource you would be reporting to. Now, all you need to do is compose a mail to the HR and put the Senior Resource in CC. In that very mail, try to come clear of your present stand with the previous employer and if possible, throw in a mail from their side wherein they declare the work-flow of your resignation acceptance and relieving.

Hello,
Adding to Sajal Kumar, i didn't see any reason or submitted resignation kind of a note. Do remember that today companies are concentrating on background checks. Ensure that your separation happens smoothly with a good note from your current employer.
