I am seeking advice on employment terms in respect of hiring Employees and Consultant.
I am working as HR manager with a BPO and we are 24 hours working. Due to high statutory compliance cost, my organisation wants to hire candidates as Consultant mode instead on On roll of company so that we can save compliance cost.
I want to understand, Is the organisation not bound to provide Maternity Benefits as per Maternity Act to females who are hired as Consultant?
Also, what is the obligation has on employer on night shift working as Consultant? (In Night shift, company has to provide Meal and Cabs to employees).
