I am working on contract basis in an organization. in my organization central government minimum wages applicable. central government revise minimum wages from 19-01-2017 in this notification they have clear wages applicable according to work. i am work as assistant accountant which comes under clerical grade but in my organization they mapped me as unskilled worker due to this my minimum wages effect. when i go to my principal employee to know reason why they mapped me as unskilled whereas i am working as assistant then how they mapped me as unskilled, they says that we are mapped on experience basis. i want know that if an organization follow central government minimum wages rule then they decided skilled or unskilled on experience basic or government work category basic.

Dear Mr Srivastav, You have mentioned that you are Employed as "Assistant Accountant" then mentioned working as "Assistant" Please Clarify your Correct Designation? What is your Qualification, Previous Experience, Nature of Job Performed in Present job to determine your category

Dear Mr Srivastav,
As you say ,you are working as Asst Accountant, then minimum wages as applicable to the clerical category appropriate to the nature of your job will apply and certainly not that of the unskilled category.
Pl take up with your employer again for necessary correction. If they don't do it , then approach Labour Commissioner's office and lodge complaint.
