Is it leagal to remove pf deduction by increasing the basic above 7000/-
Hi all i have query we are having 100 employee in one of our site and previosly we are are deducting pf and esic but now we want to increase there salarie and remove from pf deductionmy query is it is leagal to remove employee from pf deduction by increasing his basic amnt 7000/??? please reply me on priority

Dear all i am new member on citehr.. i am having some doubts on after reading previous articles/replies posted for the same on this website..my query is not solved.. my question is that employees drawing salary upto 6500 are covered under pf..and deduction is compulsory..but if some person is having salary more that 6500 say 15000 and he didnt opt for pf when he joined..but now after completing 1 year of service..he wants to start pf deduction...is it possible?..and if yes will percetage of deduction be same.. ?...in the same way as far as my knowledge is concerened pf deduction once started can not be discontinued..plz correct me if i am wrong.. plz guide...request you to reply for this specifc queries only.. regards chaitali.. surat gujarat..
Is pf applicable on pf charges
Dear all query: is pf is applicable on service charges. pf inspector inspected our pf records and raised a query that the service charges you are showing in your balance sheet it is a form of tip and having income for employees so there is applicability of pf from both the part employer & employee. how we are handling service charge: 1.it is coming from customer side when they are paying their bill amount mentioned in bill also. 2. at the month end whole collection is distributed among employees as per their monthly rewards points after deduction of breakages. but not with salary and even not highlighted in salary slip. 3.we are following minimum basic salary for pf i.e 6500/. if basic da more than 6500/ then pf deduction on 6500/ and if basic da less than 6500/ then pf deduction on actual. please give your expert advice. pf written cases & judgment will be appreciated./

Hi all this is my first post. i have two queries 1. my basic salary is around 27000 per month. can i choose not to contribute to the pf. if i can do that and i contribute nothing what happens to the employer s contribution. is it sent to pf or is it paid out as part of monthly compensation? also is this under company s discretion about what the pf contribution i will make?? 2.the pf and gratuity deduction....are they tax exempt at at deduction or point of investing i.e. while calculating tax is it calculated after all deductions have been made? regards abhishek

Hello all i have a few queries regarding pf?? i am working in a startup it company where the total no. of employees is less than 20 and my basic salary is more than 6500 . the company has included their pf contribution of 3349.20 in my ctc and is showing the deduction as follows: employee contribution3349.20 employer contribution 3349.20 professional tax.200 tds3390. please note that in my previous company my basic was 12000 and i had opted out of pf. hence my query is the above deduction correct and can i opt out of the pf schemeif so what do i have to do. an early response will be highly appreciated. regards. saurav
