Dear All,
I am an HR professional working in Gurgaon. We have a sexual harassment complaint redressal committee which includes the senior members of the organization. However, as per Vishakha guidelines we need to have a third party as a member of committee which can be an NGO or any other body who is familiar with the issue of sexual harassment.
Seeking your advice, how can I find and approach these bodies to be associated with us?
Thanks,
Ruchi

Dear Ruchi,
We at Kapgrow are associated with various Corporates as "External Member" on their Committees as per the requirement of the Law on Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace.
You can avail our services to co-opt the external experts who can help you with the matter.
Please feel free to connect with us to discuss and take the matter forward.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Ruchi,
It is advisable to get in touch with the legal team of your company, if it has one. Also any member from company's legal (lawyer) team can be a member of ICC in place of NGO member.
Dear Seniors,
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Dear Pravin,
Many thanks for your suggestion. Can any lawyer be a part of this committee as an external member (if he has knowledge of such issues) in case we do not have any legal team?

Ruchi

Dear Ruchi,
As far I know yes we can have lawyer as one of the ICC member. In my organization we have our legal team and they have suggested to have a lawyer as external member of ICC if we don't find member from Non Governmental Organization.

Dear Ruchi,
You definitely can include a lawyer as an external member.
Our team provides professional consultation services to help organisation to form the ICC. We will also provide a kit which contains the main provisions of the act in simple language, do’s and don’s etc. to each committee member.
We will
1. Constitute Internal Complaints Committee,
2 Draft Anti Sexual Harassment policy,
3 establish and clarify the roles and functions of each member of ICC,
4 Train the ICC members,
5 Provide relevant literature, pics, posters, banners etc,
6 Provide any other help as required under the provision of the act.

Regards,
