I conduct the outbound training programmes. However, as you have said, these are not out and out on teamwork.
If not rueful, I found HR professional regretful for their inability to measure training effectiveness for outbound training. Going further, few even told me that after this type of training, things were back to square one within a fortnight! Taking this feedback from them, I use simulations in my training. Few are designed on my own and few designed by others. These are far more than games and challenge the participants physically, mentally or at least intellectually. As far as teachers are concerned, I will use simulations for the following purposes:
a) How to bring collaborative mindset amongst the students
b) Along with the goal, how to give emphasis to the choice of direction also
c) What are mental blocks and how to help students in identifying students in their mental blocks
d) How to teach to the students importance of equilibrium in the life
e) There are other simulations also and the entire list cannot be included in this reply.
My only concerned is about hiring local trainer. I am from Bangalore, Nevertheless, be assured of the value for the value that will get from this investment.
Thanks and wait for your positive reply.
