Is there any guideline on cost aspect towards providing Creche facility?
I took maternity leave from 10th Jan 2017, 3 months leave yet to be completed by 9th april. Am I eligible to extend leave total of 6 months as per maternity amended act 2017... Reply asap, Regards
Since the Act is made effective from 1.4.2017, according to me you will not be eligible for extended leave.
You are eligible for 26 weeks because you are still under Maternity Leave as on 01-04-2017-Applicability Date of 26 weeks Maternity Leave.
From 10th April 2017, you will be entitled for another 14 Weeks of Maternity Leave.Please check with your Employer stating that you are still under ML &entitled for 26 weeks.Please Share your Employers consent or non Consent for information of all concerned

Thank you Sri Nath sir and PC agarwal sir I have also confirmed this with one of my frnd from central government he told me that this date is inforcement date not an effective date and this amended act is retrospective so I am eligible to get it.

Dear Sir, since this act is applicable to all the female employees. Is there any specific separate provision for Private School Teachers employees.
Madam,Dhir Mamta, You have to get confirmation from your Employer about your eligibility of 26 weeks of ML.Please share the same for information of all concerned.
Private School Teachers if they are covered under ESI Act, they will get the Benefit from ESI subject to fulfilling eligibility conditions.
If not covered under ESI, If 10 or more Persons are Employed in the School-The maternity Benefit Act, 1961 will be applicable under which benefits will be have to check about Applicability of the Act.
