As ESI Corporation had extended the benefit to ESI covered employees with effect from 20th January, 2017, you are eligible for 26 weeks leave. You may approach the medical officer or your branch office for the same.

As per the calculation your leave gets exhausted in March 1st week itself, since the baby born on Jan 20, and six weeks thereafter ends in March 1st week to the best of my knowledge.

My delivery date is on 29th march2017.. Am I eligiible for getting 26 week maternity leave. please confirm
3rd May 2017 From India, Chennai
According to a recent clarification issued by the government, an employee who is on maternity leave as on 1st April, 2017 is also eligible for the extended leave, ie, 26 weeks leave. Since your date of child birth is on 29th March, 2017, naturally you should be under maternity leave as on 1st April, 2017 and as such you will get the benefit of 26 weeks leave deducting such number of days already availed in your present spell of maternity leaves.

Can you tell maximum weeks to be used and how many times for availing the maternity leave
11th October 2017 From India, Hyderabad
The whole episode tells the same, ie, 26 weeks maternity leave and you are again asking the same?
maternity leave of 26 weeks is available only for two deliveries whereas for any additional child birth, she will get only 12 weeks leave.
