Kindly help me in below given query. I am grateful to you on this regards.
I am working in a private school as PGT level. Beyond teaching I am performing role of an Assistant Examination Coordinator, Smart class Coordinator and helping teachers and office staff in computer related jobs. I have joined the school in June-2016. I am working on probation. As an assistant coordinator of exam they assigned me such work related to preparing result sheets for all the classes starting from Nursery to class XII, formatting question papers, preparing various formats when Principal and other members needed. So daily I am giving my 1.5 hrs extra where all teachers leaving the school on time. I am doing my work flawlessly as much I can. But due to few interruption while working there were chances of errors in formats and result sheets. So I planned accordingly, some other staff members will verify the formats or sheets at three level after taking the print out. It is a CBSE affiliated school. Every time principal is telling that this is your job you have to do it flawlessly. But as the work load is there and work environment is here its prone to errors in work.
Now coming to the process. In July I faced many problems while preparing and printing result sheets. As all know that some computer related sheets needs to be checked deeply after taking print and when it comes to related to students result. So I decided that all the printed sheets must be checked deeply and signed by the the teacher, rechecker and examination coordinator. So we circulate one circular with all teachers signatures signed by Principal and examination coordinator for all exams. This process is continued from July to today.
Our school examination was over on 17.023.2017. We circulated circular on 08.03.2017 where it is clearly written the computerized sheets must be checked deeply by class teachers, rechecker and examination coordinator, if any corrections are there then it should be notify to me and new and after making them correct another sheet will be given to the teacher. After the all corrections done then teachers may fill the report cards.
In final examination I had given four sheets to the teacher, all needs to be checked properly then it they can fill the report cards. Now the problem is there all teachers followed the process as per the circular. But one teachers has not checked one sheet properly and not notified the corrections. He filled report cards with erroneous sheet in hurry as he was late to submit his report card very late. Now principal also signed all the report cards. During PTM one parent complained about this. I checked personally and they were right. So immediately I report to principal. I said that the sheets were not checked properly they did not notified the corrections, they did not ensured but the class teacher has filled the report card and finished his job. When I reported to principal he was convinced and said action will be taken on teachers involved in the entire process. Now he framed a committee and committee asked me for the statements. I had given everything in writing. But now I am feeling that I was new member in school. The teachers who singed on erroneous sheets were old. The class teacher blamed that it was computer mistake and I am not in fault at all. He is changing his statements. But as per record and procedure its should be checked properly and then signed. Three teachers signed the sheet but till principal was telling its your mistake and it affects on school image. So we will take action against all. I had given apology letter in written.

The root cause of the problem that you are facing today is the circular that was issued on 08-03-2017. In the circular, it should have been clearly mentioned what is the responsibility of the teachers and what is the responsibility of the computer department. Responsibility was not just towards timeliness but also for the accuracy of the information that was provided to the next stage.
However, as the enquiry has been ordered, you may state your position. You were only responsible for processing information that is provided by the teacher. Your job was not to assess the accurateness of the information. Yet why you were proactive in tendering your apology is not understood. Possibly this unwarranted proactive approach could weaken your case. You could have waited for the enquiry.
Now the partisanship of the Principal. He is trying to protect the teacher who is with the school for a long time. This happens many times. Nevertheless, if the action is taken only against you then you may approach the Secretary of the school to redress your grievance. If your grievance is not redressed then possibly you need to approach Education Department. However, taking on school authorities is not that easy. Most of the time the education institutions in India are run by politicians and they have hand in glove relationship with the bureaucracy. Anyway, let us wait and watch what happens further.

The circular stated that all the sheets needs to be checked by class teachers, if any corrections are there it should be notify to the department. In this case class teacher notified some corrections but some corrections were not notified. Now committee report states that I am accountable for 10% of damage. Show cause notice issued to me for the case.
