One employee joined our organization on 02nd November and left on 10th November after submitting resignation. Since then he didn't show any interest to complete the f&f, we pursued but failed. We have to pay him 9 days salary. We waited this long but no response from his side.

Now we have to close his books, so we have to deduct the epf amount even if he is not interested to take his money. And we tried to link our establishment with his UAN, and something amazing happened.

We couldn't link our establishment code with his UAN in order to credit epf amount it showed some kind of an error. We checked and found out that he joined another organization prior to us on 4th October. We understood that he lied to us as he never told about this job at the time of joining. But we thought he might have left that company and joined us, so why are we not able to link his UAN then. Went to establishment search and found out that he's still working in that company as in every month's ecr his name was there.

Which means he was working with that company, somehow managed to come to us for 7 days and then went back there. But important point is his UAN showing DOJ as 4th October, that means he didn't rejoin that organization, for them he was at continuous job I think. This much I have worked out.

But the real pain is how can we add him and pay his epf dues for the month of November? And why are we not able to link his UAN when we are giving DOJ at our organization 02nd November? Is this because he has got 2/3/4 other wages and corresponding ECR filed from a different company post November?

Can someone clarify these doubts and help resolve this issue?

I think u can add. However get some advice from the experts. Basically it was a kind of dual employment for that concerned person for those 7 days. However any which ways you should be able to link your code with his uan, there shouldn't be any problem.
And by doing this his present employer will also come to know that such an event had occurred because next month while uploading ECR they will come to know about this and they can take actions as they deem fit against the said employee.
