There has been increment in the salary of few employees in our company in the month of Jan 2017. So do i need to submitt two challans (One regular and one arrear ecr) in new EPF portal?
if the arrear is related with december or prior periods, then you have to file arrear ECR,
but if increase has been effected in january 2017, that is paid in feb, so feb 2017 ecr filing with increased values will be enough.
Sir arrears is for the period from April 2016 to Dec 2016. As mentioned by you two ecr will be generated. One for arrears amount i.e. amount related to April 16 to Dec 16 and other for regular salary for Jan 17 ?
for arrear ECR is not generated
log in to the portal, go to ECR > download select arrear
a separaate file will get downloaded with UAN, fill the same and submit.

Same case here. There has been increment in the salary of 2 employees in our company in the month of Jan 2017. Arears are for the period April to Dec. In the Arears ECR format, they have included EPS contrib column too. My question is do we have to pay 1250 again? Since this amount is already paid against the salary of these employees for months Apr to Dec.
fill value "0" in EPS if it was 1250 in original and transfer the whole amount to difference , but if the value was less than 1250 then adjust it 1st then take balance to Difference
We were advised by the PF office people to wait for the registration at PMRPY portal for new employees before filing ECR and making payment as our DSC was not approved because of website problems.
So we did not file the ECR for December month. But yesterday we met the Regional Commissioner and he advised us to make the DEC ECR payment and dont wait for the benefit of PMRPY which you can claim from next month . As we were not aware of this , we delayed the payment of Dec ECR.
In this confusion, we have made DEC ECR as normal ECR and not arrears. Is it okay? Will we be able to get the PMRPY benefit?
PMRPY consideration may be allowed by ministry of labor, they just verify the data from EPFO for new eligible employees, and their contribution,
but making late in EPFO payment is subjected to panel interest and damages, which is statuary.
if LIN is verified and approved by labor officer on shram suvidha portal, then the employer has to register them under the PMRPY on their portal 1st to get eligible by selecting the appropriate category as per NIC codes ( same as they have done on shram suvidha portal) , fill all details, and put the bank account details on the site for the PMRPY incentive receipt, sign the same digitally,
PMRPY is available to MSME units only, ( if the unit is registered under start up then it has to be mentioned also) so the employer has to fill form 5A again on EPFO unified portal with these details once again,
after this process, EPFO will open their site for DSC registration (New DSC)

Now the registration of DSC is over, but not able to register employees . Its showing Aadhar authentication failed. In some Aadhars Year of Birth only is mentioned. DOB is not mentioned.May be this could be the reason. the mobile nos and email ids given in the old site are not updated in the new site.
If mobile no is not there in EPFO, will the aadhar authentication be a problem? I find no option to add mobile numbers again in the new website.
if the portal is not taking aadhaar upfront then make entry of member. fill the missing data, and save (dont approve)
again when you will go for add members , you can see the pending approval list, at the bottom, edit the same and enter aadhaar data, (use internet explorer only) hope it will accept, if there is no other mismatch.
in case it is rejected with reason, name / dob/ gender mismatch , then ask the employee to visit the page, after getting OTP on their phone they can be able to edit the details, upload the supporting document scan copy ( dont upload the xerox copy or certified copy, but upload direct scan copy from original, in support of the edit field) , on submission they will inform over SMS the status usually within 3 working days, then they can download the modified aadhaar , which would match as per your records.
once the process is done, and aadhar is seeded, employer can approve the same, for this process no DSC required,

no solution for getting old ECRs, the employer has to preserve the copy at the time of generation of ECR for their records
you can ask department for the copy, by making a request in written
