Hi ,
I have got very bad appraisal from last 3 year, every year , I hoped next year will be good , every year got same reason, My line manager is say at appraisal time you have this much experience so your rating should be meet expectation , he never looking, What salary i'm getting from company, this year i have done very very hard work too archive my line manager expectation and i have archived my line manager is happy with my performance, he is agreed for my rationalization of the salary points , he is also saying years of experience considering as industry standard,
he also agreed even my compensation is really less as compared to few of the resources at the same level in my company as well. But I got vary less appraisal this year also ...i'm very disappointed please suggest me what i have to do .... my friend is suggesting i have to change the company , But i'm not freaky kind don't want to do this , Please suggest

Dear Anurag,
For the last three years you could not get good appraisal rating. But then have you been given feedback why did this happen? What are the reasons for the performance gap? Which skills you need to improve?
Now you say that this year you had worked hard yet your appraisal rating was not so good. Did your manager give feedback on the poor rating?
Whatever may be the actual performance, your appraisal records should be good. These record help in achieving the economic wellness. If our work does not translate into the financial well being then it is a big loss to that individual. Against this backdrop, as your friend suggested, you might look for a change. Nothing freaky about the change of job. Changing job is one of the means of career advancement. Please remember age old proverb rolling stone gathers no moss.
Nevertheless, you should render excellent performance at the new job lest you may feel deja vu in the new job.

Hi Dinesh,
Last year he is give 3 in 5 rating means meet expectation and he told me that as per your experience your work is ok... not good , but this year he have give 4 in 5 and he is happy with my performance, he told he will give very good appraisal , but I got very less,resources at the same level in my company is got more then me agn

Reasons was i'm not working as experience ( I have done good work but my new manager......), But the main thing is that my salary is not as per my experience,Now i got 4 in 5 as per my experience then why my appraisal is very less
