Hi Anju,
I agree with Mr. Jeevaratham. ESIC is the legal requirement which a employer shall provide to its employees. ESIC is not to be provided to all employees, its provided to those employees who come under the ambit of ESIC. At present the coverage limit is 21000.
Thank You

You can seek exemption from ESI Act from the appropriate government ONLY if you are providing better medical facilities than ESI Corporation. There is a procedure to seek exemption from appropriate government, who may on your request will compare the facilities provided by the company and ESI Corp and then may allow or reject the exemption.
Simply having insurance or mediclaim policy of employees won't give you any exemption.
Many hospitals have got exemptions as they are able to prove that they are providing better facilities than ESI Corporation.

Hi ,
Some of the employees registered for ESI came out of coverage when the limit was 15000/-. Can we use the same ESI number for the employee, now that the limit is increased? Or we have to generate new number?
Thanks
