Dear Sir / Ma'am,
One of our employee was met with an accident at outside of factory premises and leave on sickness benefit (@70% of average wages) under ESI benefit.
He was Absence for whole month of September including weekly off.
I have following two questions:
Q-1. Is he eligible to get Bonus under Bonus Act, 1965 for said month?
Q-2. For the same period, would he eligible to get PL? or the same days only to be consider to calculate 240 days?
If you highlight section with your answer, your efforts will be appreciated.

The injured fellow will not be entitled for Bonus for Particular Month when he has been compensated through ESI . Along with above he will also not entitled for earned leave for those month.
Answers for your questions would be as below :
1) He is not Eligible for bonus, but yes if management want to consider then you may consider the same.
2) You may need not to consider the month when he was absent, but while calculation next year PL you need to keep in mind that if he had completed 240 days as physical presence then he is entitled for the full PL as per company policy.
