Can organisation mark unplanned leave on public holiday as lop?
Hi team i am working i a startup company in mumbai. i am working here since jun 2018 and on 25th december i took leave when i came on 26 it was marked as unplanned leave and lop. so just wanted to know can organisation marked lop on public holiday

Hello please help me to clarify a query in maternity leave. suppose a women is having 3 month maternity leave and she extended her leave for 3 months which falls as lop what would be her normal leave eligibility for that lop period? ie will she eligible for earned leave/ casual leave/ sick leave for that period ? she joined the service after 6 months leave.please confirm. regards kala
Lop if the employee has leave balance - business head is approving leave only for 10 days
Dear seniors situation the employee has 23 leave balance in his account; he wants to take sick leave for 1 month till he completes his leave balance . but the business head is approving leave only for 10 days because of the pending work which he needs to complete. and asking me to take the remaining days under lop. can i go for lop? the employee says that he has enough leave balance and lop. please guide me to handle this situation. thank you in advance

Dear friendsmy companyit wants to do a pay cut for employees during coming appraisal. this is only because there is order from our hq as its an mnc that we need to cut the cost of operations in india else will be shut down. as indian management doesnt want to shut down the company as well as not willing to layoff any employee they are seeking suggestion on how to do the pay cut for employees ?options are like 5 flat salary cut to all levles which is very simple but also thinking on making the employees to take compulsory leave without pay.my question is when there are other leaves cl and pl available to employee is it leagle to do lop ? is there any law which says when to take leave on lop ? or is it just industrial standard of making lop when there is no other leaves available. experts please clarify.i saw some other posts in the same citehr advicing to take compulsory leave with lop ? is it possible for any company to make such rule to handle crisis ?regardsjyothi

Non payment of salary in sick leave - made lop due to unauthorised leave
I am working in a public limited company in the capacity of executive and recently due to my ill health i have availed sick leave from 18.11.2019 to 03.01.2020 and applied leave in the employee portal as well sent email to hr about my illness followed by medical certificate. unfortunately my gm hr made lop on the ground unauthorised leave from 01.12.2019 to 31.12.2019 full month and no salary is paid for the full month and house rent and other allowances are also not paid. i have 169 days of sick leave and 63 days of privileged leave balance . no prior intimation of lop is made to me. no lop sanction communication is also made to me. in the medical certificate doctor has recommended for bed rest which our hr is not accepting. they have not informed me regarding the same before sanctioning of lop.
