Hi All,
I hope all good with you :)
Well I'm a post graduate engineer working in a start-up company (less than 10 people) for past 1+ years ; everything is going excellent here :)
I'm getting salary (around 32k/pm) as cash in hand & sometimes in cheque; my printed salary slips don't have PF and TDS deductions. (Sorry, I never filed IT return) ,
Question : I'm planning to switch over to a reputed MNC, and the recruiting company will ask for salary slip for sure. What should I do? should i go with the printed salary slips (without PF and TDS deductions) what my current employer had given, or do i need any supporting document for that? please guide me :)
Thanks & Regards,
Anbu Kumar

Dear Kumar
Being a small establishment as you said employing around 10 persons, provisions of EPF act are not applicable. The Salary is being paid in partially in cash and cheque. Definitely, the cheque will contain the amount as per your salary slip which may be within the exemption of IT so TDS is also not deducted.
What kinds of other documentary you can produce to MNC except the salary slip? SO it is better to speak out the truth.

Thanks for the reply PK Sharma :)
Practically speaking !!! More than a verbal truth , truthful paper is needed,
I'm here to give both, That's why i asked - is there any supporting documents required other than Salary slip, anyway thanks for the reply :)
Thanks & Regards,

Dear Anbu Kumar
At the time of joining you would have been given the appointment order, with details of salary. You can show that. However, if you are working without appointment order, you have to substantiate without documentary proof only.

Dear Anbu Kumar,
You can produce photocopy of your bank statement / passbook in support of documentary evidence alongwith salary slip which should match with the bank entry. In case your payslip carries cheque no. on it, it will be helpful to you or by any chance if you have taken photocopy of cheque issued by your company earlier, you may produce the same. Rest is depending on your luck and how you present your case during the discussion.
Good Wishes,
Suresh
