Dear All,
Please help me out with the term SALARY. Because recently when I got increment letter it was clearly written over there MY SALARY REVISED TO RS- X. I think that is my gross salary. Bur when I got salary I come to know that Rs- X is treated as CTC. Is CTC= SALARY? Please help me with the answer and also suggest me some government website where I will get total information regarding this matter

hello Arpanhpl,
CTC means "Cost to Company" that is expenses done by company on an employee. It includes your basic, HRA, Bonus, PF, Gratuity, Different allowances< reimbursements,taxes, etc.
And gross salary is CTC-other benefits and net salary is what you get every month in hand.
