What are the benefits not given to the contractors as compared to regular employee? Like Salary, Bonus, etc.
Dear friend,
Contractors are hired for specific purpose. Either it is service contract or purchase contract. On meeting contractual obligation, they are paid their charges as per the terms of contract.
Contractors do not come under the purview of labour laws. Therefore, contractors are not paid regular salary or bonus. However, contractors hire employees to get the work done. They in turn are expected to follow labour laws and under the provisions of which they are expected to pay salary and bonus to their employees.
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar

As per the nature of job and interpretation / meaning of the word, regular employment / work contract can not be given by the principal employer to the contractor or its manpower. Rest all, Social security will be applicable to workers either Contract worker or Regular Worker.
