New rule of ml & child care policy
Hi frnds today i have read in toi & also heard in ndtv regarding the new rule on maternity leave and child care policy. as per the rule ml has been increased from 3 months to 6 months. and as per the child care policy any women can take 2 years paid leave to take care of her child anytime till the child comes to the age of 18. my doubt is that whether this rule is applicable only to the government women employee or it would also be applicable to the women working in the private sector. please do let me know about this incase any of you have any updates on the same. thanks & regards chitra
Women employee movement during odd hours
Dear all i work with a uk based travel firm in gurgaon and have women employees working for evening and late night shifts. as per the punjab shops and commercial establishment act which is applicable for haryana as well we are supposed to provide women employees office transportation post 8pm. there are few women employees who don t avail the company s transportation and commute on their own personal vehicle or picked up by spouse during odd hours we want to stop this practice immediately as there is high safety risk. please guide how to stop this ?
Drop for women in night shifts - if a woman requests they don't want transport?
As per the labour law we are mandated to drop women employees home after 8 pm in bpo / it sector. few queries 1. what is a women employee is availing their own transport? will the company be responsible if something happens to them? 2. what if some women employees send a request that they will not be taking company transport for a particular day since someone is picking them up. what does the company do in such scenarios? the above are tricky situations for companies. how can the company safeguard themselves in such situations legally?
