Dear Sushma,
It is right that your skills will be sharpened while working with such organisation but it needless to say you will always have inordinate stress / hyper stress on your head. You will be satisfied with your performance and totally be dissatisfied with rewards and recognisiton in return. It is proved that excessive stress is pernicuous to health and occasions other health related troubles.

Sushma,

Its really a challenge but not that much big. All we know very well that "resistance to change is the human nature". When you are bringing some changes no matter its good or bad people will take sometime to accept the same. This can be her case. Please don't predict something before you observe the situation physically.Frankly speaking I will not advise you to believe on her words . If you are selected join that organization and take this challenge. It may be the other departmental staffs not like her policies and practices, cause can be different and I can't say the causes as I am far from the situation.

If you are selected don't think that your mobile will be stolen on firstday and your car will be punctured and anything like that. May be they will treat you fairly.Be positive and join the company.I hope you may feel different than her.

Why she told you those? I can't understand this. By saying these things it may be possible she does not want another to be hired in the HR department. If she told you these words that means she is just representing the human resource of the company as corrupted and political.Being the employee she should not do that.

JOIN THE COMPANY AND SEE IF SHE IS RIGHT?

Thanks

Hi Dev

Even I think the same way as you are advising me but tell me one thing if she doesn’t want to hire me why she called me to come for an interview?? She and I don’t know anything about each other.

I know she is not supposed to say what she told me but according to her “ I am telling you all this so that later you can’t blame me that I didn’t tell you anything about the situations”.

At the time of interview the MD of the company was clarify the situation to her by saying the word TAKE IT AS A CHALLENGE.

At the time of my interview she told me the same thing but in detail.

I was selected she was satisfied with my experience and qualifications and she told me that anytime when I want to take this challenge I can join.

The policies & procedures made by her were excellent like Birthday Celebration, Grievance Committee & Organization quiz etc. and she have done all this in just two months. What more she could do??

I know I should not believe on her each and every words but I can’t ignore her also.

Regards

Hi,
The scenario you have told is shocking but the truth in some places. I feel that places like such mainly consist of people who are resistant to change becuase they have got in a very comfortable zone. So one has to try to make changes in a very smooth manner which does not disturb their comfort zone too much. Slowly slowly when people start recognizing the benefits they would change. If they dont its better that you move on in life because not all see the same picture as we do. Many lala type companies follow this type of working environment and trust me they dont like changes. One thing weird is that if her husband is VP (HR) he could easily help her in finding a new job specially if she has a good background.
OR if we were to look at it from a different angle it could be that she asked you trick questions just to know you're stamina level in handling difficult or odd situations.
