Hi All,
I am looking for cell phone policy for my organization.
Background -We have recently provided a Handset(Normal phone) with Sim card to our Telesales team as they were using a dual sim and mostly was online on Whats app or other social networking sites. To get rid of such practices we have done this, now we need to create a policy for the same.
What I need -
1. A strong policy stating the eligibility, usage and salary deductions in case of damage or loss by the employee.
2. If anyone worked/working with call centers - Then please send suggestions and you cell phone policies?
3. You can email your details at pdas@gols.in / hr@gols.in
I request all the viewers to suggest or advise me with regards to the above matter.
Thanks a tonne!!

Dear Priya,

Greetings!
Does your telesales team visit the market frequently? if yes, then its ok to provide the handset else they can use the landline for telecalling.

You need to plan with your management about how much limit is to be fixed by the company for payment of bill and beyond that amount the employee is responsible for the payment.
Does your telesales department consists of senior manager? if it is so, you can discuss with the management for paying the actual bill amount for those senior official(which is completely upto the company to decide)
Have you provided your employees with CUG sim? I hope you have done so as it will be easier for you to resolve any problem faced by your employees regarding call drop or other connection issues by contacting the concerned CUG provider.

Which types of calls are made maximum times by your employees? whether they make local or STD calls frequently?. Just share that information with the telecom operator and ask for a customized plan for it.

Also, you need to do a through check up regarding which operator has the best signal in your area and you should opt accordingly.

Regards,
Ramya Ranjan Samal
