Hello,
It seems Certification courses in India are on a rise with several consultant's initiating short duration certfication courses. Initially it was 'Certified Recruitment Analyst' that had hit the industry and recently I came across 'Confluence Certified Recruiter' (CCR) certification which is form a Pune based consulting firm.
Can someone throw light on the benefits/disadvantages of 'Confluence Certified Recruiter' (CCR) certification considering that this certification does not also cost a huge amount and is a 15 days course. However, is this a recognised course in industry and does it have any weightage ?
Also, is there anyone who has undergone this course or would be able to guide whether to go for this certification or not.
Thanks in advance and awaiting for your esteemed responses.

Dear Jigar,
This is a valid point that you have raised at the advent of such courses being offered across the globe.
I am a HR Manager with 11 years of expertise in this field. I have been through the details of this course and really find it relevant. This course will really help the industry at large to create better recruitment professionals as these certifications make them specialised in recruitments.
Otherwise, whenever we conduct interviews for similar positions, the candidates are only aware of the theories in recruitments.
Companies abroad do consider candidates with similar certifications, so why not in India?
Hope this piece of information helps you to take a decision.

Hey,
I have gone through the course offered by Confluence Certified Recruiter and also cleared the same.
It was really educating and practical.
It is cost effective and the course material is extensive. The exam was a real tester and nail biting.
I think it should be taken up by various HR proffessionals.
Hope these details help you.

Rubbish,
MBA-HRM is more than enough to work in any area of HR and don't have to go for special trainings just the concentration matters and there are lot of internal training programmes conducted in the companies now a days. HR should concentrate on trainings like PHR/SPHR/GPHR etc. These courses developed in India are copy cats.
Don't ever take a course from a private institutions and don't believe that they will last longer. CCR is not approved by AICTE so this is not a guarantee for your career growth.
Private Institutions nowadays creating these types of topics in these types of forums to advertize their training courses that worths nothing. So just ignore this topic and concentrate on something realistic.
If anyone want to do a course in HR or Recruitment then they can join ICFAI or SYMBIOSIS or anyother institute of same speciality.
Don't ever reply to any of these discussions done here.
