Greetings! I feel highly relieved that I can now expect some valuable advice in this forum.
I had to begin working soon after my BCOM due to financial issues in the family. Given a chance I would love to complete my full time MBA and take up a job more so because I had been an above average student while at school. However I faired poorly in my BCOM since the focus was to earn than to education.
I started as a call centre executive and due to my skills I was inducted in HR in the call centre I was working at.
Since then I have worked in various companies in HR in various locations of the country across being industries including IT, BPO and lastly including event management. Currently I am in Bangalore.
Though my years of experience kept increasing I did not get the required exposure or learnings since HR in event management companies is the least important. Out of 9 years 1.5 years was in professional Organisations where I literally picked the concepts and practices of HR the rest years were in companies where I applied the knowledge I had gained in these 1.5 years.
Now, with time the expectations are rising but I find myself ill equipped with relevant knowledge and the required training. I had to change 3 companies after my relocation to Bangalore because of mismatch of expectations. Though I would want to mention that all these 3 companies has had the history of hiring and firing their HR's.
I did complete my MBA (distance) from IMT but to no avail. I definitely did not have any learning even after doing this course.
So now my cv looks with too many job hops with distance education. Though I have only revealed only one Company after my relocation to Bangalore and shown myself unemployed since about a year.to
Inspite of having excellent written and verbal proficiency in English and a team player I am unable to fetch a good job for myself.
Please advice what should I need to do next to be in the league back again.
