Mr. Anonymous,
Employer, not the employee, has an upper hand to take anyone to task. So, don't think about taking company to task, unless you really have some very good evidence against the company of being unethical or indulged in illegal activities. The only thing required of the employee is not only to get within the frame work of the conduct & discipline rules of the company, but has has to remain self disciplined, so far as his official life is concerned.
But still advice on your query, "how can i take this company to task, so that they do not do this to anybody," is not possible untill you narrate the real background on account of which you are afraid of the company action.
