Hello All,
I have a query related to employees who pursue their studies (Graduation/Post Graduation) during their employment period.
Is there any clause for the same or can we add any clause related to that.?
Please suggest!

What is the problem if an employee studies during his employment period?
As long as it does not affect company work, company need not interfere.
Many companies themselves provide educational loans, subsidy on acquiring relevant qualifications.

Actually organization should encourage the employee going in for higher studies. If the course / program is relevant to the work that an employee does, it will help the employee to put in better efforts. Organization can provide reimbursement of the course fee for such relevant courses, with a clause to get an approval for the study prior to joining the course, from the functional head.

@Meghana N. Thanks for the reply. But the concern is we recruit freshers & in most cases either they are pursuing or going to enroll themselves for studies. Our management would like to make a policy for the same. We want to add a clause in our appointment letter & looking for the format for the same.!

Getting educated is an ordinary right of every citizen; nay, it could be linked to the Fundamental Right to Life and Right to Freedom. No employer can interfere or frustrate such basic right unless the continuing education adversely affects the efficiency or performance of the employee.
