Hello,
I am working in HDFC life as a sales manager.
In my previous organisation, an incident occurred where my then boss consumed alcohol at office and was terminated for the reason. I was present there and though I did not consume alcohol I was asked to resign with proper pay and notice.
Now in my present organisation this incident became known in background check. The HR said I shall be terminated. Hence my portal, wages and salary was blocked. They also said that if I could bring a letter of innocense from my x company tat I didn't consume alcohol then they would reinstate me. I got such a letter. They conducted a re background check and there my x company hr wrote that the letter was genuine , yet disciplinary action was taken against me.
For this reason HDFC life is again telling that they would issue termination.
What should I do now?
Does this also mean that I won't get a job anywhere else??

Taking action does not stand to reason.
You have got a letter from X company saying you did not consume liquor and still they want to terminate you.
Please put up all facts in writing to your HR boss and clarify incident.
I am sure they will change their decision.
