I'm a HR Manager in the manufacturing company, in my previous company 1 finishing manager terminated from his job because of there HR Manager thought that company will save gratuity money. His service was for 4 years11months and 3 days.

Hi Buddy, If that concerned employee completed 240 days of continuous service in the 11month 3 days period than that employee is eligible for gratuity. With Regards Mr.Thumbs Up

as per the legal judgements in various courts, if the employee completed 240 days of in 5th year, he is eligible for gratuity .

Hi Manoj,
An employees who completes 4 yr's and 11 months of service is eligible for Gratuity, since he completes more than 240 days of service in the fifth years.
