Pf basic less than 15k & no pf deduction
Dear all i have 2 situations in regards to pf. 1 an old employee who had pf contribution but withdrew it after discussing with md. her pf basic was more than 6500 & so continues till date without pf. current pf basic is 9500. 2 an employee who joined in dec 14 who never had contributed to pf & so has been continuing without pf till date. current pf basic is 4500. now as per revised pf norms pf is mandatory for employees with pf basic less than 15000. what should be the effect on above 2 employees? can we increase the pf basic of 1st employee to 15000 which can solve the issue? for 2nd employee salary is less than 15000 anyway & never contributed to pf fund so can the employee be exempted or should we start pf mandatory? please revert at the earliest. regards darshana

Respected seniors i have a few questions on pf. 1. is pf compulsory for all ? 2. if anybody wants to opt out of pf what is the criteria? 3. if an employee is presently covered by pf does he have any option to come out of the coverage of pf if he desires so? i am working in a health care bpo where the employees are mostly young and never want to have pf. its a peculiar problem which i dont have any answer. so far i gathered some information on it which i gave below : 1. if one employee is covered by pf even for once in any company he must continue to be covered by pf irrespective of wherever he works. 2. if one s salary is more than rs 6500/ he can opt out of pf. 3. if an employee submits a written declaration that he is willing to be outside the covereage of pf it has to be accepted by the employer. awaiting for your advice please. subhabrata das gupta
Do i need to register for pf at all
Hi we are a new organization with about 35 employees. no one is getting less than 7000/ per month and no employee is asking for pf and neither have they had pf before. so my question is that i know that it is not mandatory to pay pf if salary is above 6.5k and if employee does not ask for it but do i need to register for pf? someone told me that it costs about 30000 for pf registration. is this true?
Pf and esi problems
Dear seniors i would like to know about he esi and pf and other statutory needs both for manufacturing and it sector. what is the maximum slab for pf in both the sectors. how to delete the pf account if an employee resignes? are we need to pay pf for the compulsary six months to pf corporation and also for esi can we compensate or get back the money paid for the resigned employee? what are the problems in pf payments. kindy your valuable help needed to know about pf clearly. awaiting for your replies. thanks basha
Can 2 employees have same ctc one with pf and one without pf
Dear all please help me with a query. i have all the employees covered and contributing to pf on complete basic both employer and employee contribution irrespective of their basic limit. now to increase the takehome management have decided to offer people who will join from now on in certain departments whose basic salary is more than 6500 without pf. my doubt is can i have both the kind of employees. for the same ctc one employee without pf and one employee with pf. but the act says that employee can opt out of pf if his basic is more than 6500. so it is to the consent of both employer and employee. so if any employee wants to opt out than we have to give him structure without pf and if employee wants pf then we have to give structure with pf. am i right in saying so please this is urgent.
Duplication of pf numbers
Dear all by mistake we have alloted same pf numbers to two different employees. from both of them one employee has left his job before two years and still he has not claimed for his pf withdrawal. and unother one is working with us and as per his pf slipform no. 23 his pf no. is same as our left employee. so what should we do in this regard. b coz day by day pf account number of our left employye is incrising due to our present employee s pf contribution. kindly do the needfull.
