Sorry for being impolite. If you have no idea on how to attract students, then don't start training institute now. Wait for some time, study the market, develop business plan on your own and venture into it. Experts can fine tune your strategy, but the idea should come from you

Dear Passionate,

My suggestion is to join a training company 1st as a trainer and understand the basics of a trainer. A trainer is not a person who teaches student, but far more capabilities are required. Anyone who is having less than 15 years of career in training will be a loser. Harsh but Fact.

Have a SWOT analysis done on yourself and try to find out what is there that you can teach and why? Why would anyone listen to you? Why are you so unique? What separates you from the crowd? What is that WOW factor in you? And foremost what is your own experience of the modules you like to teach? Are you yourself perfect in that?

Market is flooded with so called Soft Skills Trainers, Motivational Trainers, Life Coaches, etc, etc, but in fact a very few of them actually belong there Most of them start great but end up more fast. All of them portray themselves as Freelancers and charges as low as Rs. 500/ day (?) lower than the Govt. minimum wages for labors. Search on internet for trainers and you will find them more than you can imagine.

There is a big market for training but these needs to be filled with quality trainers and contents. Downloading PPTs from internet and reading out in front of few people is not called training.

Training is a business like any other, you need to follow same rules as you would for a manufacturing plant or electronics franchisee. Have basics in place and go for it.
