I have done my MBA HR in 2012. Due to health issue i was not able to start working.I have 6 months of experience as a recruiter (but not on papers). The problem is i am not able to deal with recruitment as a career as i was not able to place any candidate . i just want to know if i can find other options of hr which do not include recruitment.
It would be a great help for me if somebody would guide me on this issue.

Dear Pranita,
Just because you have done MBA (HR) that does not mean that you should look for a job within HR domain. When they do not get jobs in hardcore, many MBAs in HR take up job as recruiter. This is the biggest flaw of MBA (HR). Management education is aimed at your execution skills. Execution skills are important in other disciplines as much in HR.
Management education is useful in operations as well. Therefore, you can take jobs in customer service, retail operations, purchase on so on. There is dearth of quality persons in the field of operations. Therefore, you may look for options other than HR as well.

If you would like to work in HR dept. I suggest you to attend classes on performance management, 6 sigma or SAP (based on your interest) and get certification. Work in small or middle level company for around 1 or 2 years to gain experience & then try in MNCs.
Wish you all success.
