Dear all !!!
I am recruiter have 2.11 yrs of experience.
I have got married a year ago from September I am attending interviews daily I'll be going for interviews. The question that the interviewer ask is dat about my family way even though I come with good experience they rejecte me by giving some excuse or they ask me to come for lesser salary.
I lost patience one day and gave back it was a consultancy I went located at mylapore. I asked it's quite personal and a recruiter should know to draw a line wat to ask nd wat not to.
More over dats wen ur expences will get high one would be in the situation to go for job. As per d government rules there is sm thing call maternity leave don't you guys follow such rules ????
They asked about d commitment dat I could give I would be working fr dese many yrs in writing ( I.e I'll nt get into family way ) till date I dint find d job even to an top MNC companies I went my money nd time is waste.
So is dat mean women who is married is not eligible for job.
If we take break nd cm back will they accept???
Do I have rights to sue them for asking me these questions.
Having all d skills nd getting rejected is really painful.

Greetings,
Much as I am angered with what you are facing, I am grateful that you are far past such foolish employers.
Good that you will not be wasting your effort and intellect in there.
May I ask what job are you applying for? Where are you based?
Looking forward to hear from you.

Hullo Akila,

I am saddened to hear that you got this kind of treatment. But please don't get disheartened. I don't know about suing, but you can definitely refuse to answer such questions. I know it is easy to blame the most obvious fact but please don't. The reason will be somewhere else. I don't have your CV nor have spoken to you so cannot comment much but can only give you some insights from my interaction with other women who have faced similar situation such as yours.

In the beginning of one's career one is likely to face a lack of demand for one's skills and thus career stagnation. It can happen because the skills are either in over supply or there are cheaper alternatives available. Many women have changed their line or gone for higher education to acquire specific skills which are highly demanded or take some coaching on how to handle the interview.

Look upon this as a blessing in disguise. And if you like to send me your CV to take a look, you can do so on geet.jalota@gmail.com

All the Best, I am sure you will find the right job,
