Hi,
I am working as HR Specialist in IT organization. We have Sr.HR Executive and HR Specialist in the HR Dept.
Can anyone please suggest me is HR specialist eligible to sign on offer letter. Will there be any problem in the audit.

If your organisation has authorised this designation then yes, if not get it signed from the board. Ideally, all such letter must be signed by the head of the department i.e. HR head with whatever designation he/ she has

Yes, You can sign such documents if management agrees to this. As HR Manager I sign those documents but before signing those documents I used to take written approval from MD and our finance dept. relay on that written approval.

adding to what the members said,you can exercise a particular power or authority if it is only vested in you by way of a document. Therefore there needs to be a policy or document on devolution of administrative powers approved by the Board or the competent authority to enable you o sign various documents.
