Have you done the Training Needs Analysis for all your staff to find out EXACTLY what training they need?
The training your staff need will not be the same as other organisations, because every company is different.
Every week we see requests for training material. This scattergun approach to training does not work. Effective training must be tailored to the individuals, and the organisation.
Everyone wants powerpoints, and I suspect all they do is show this powerpoint, and they just read the words on the screen, whether it is relevant to the trainees, and their organisation, or not. THAT IS NOT TRAINING.
I strongly suspect many members of CiteHR would not survive 10 minutes in one of my training sessions. I don't use Powerpoint, and I try to spend as little time as I can talking. I know the stuff, the trainees don't. Therefore I make them do the work. Result, all my training sessions are big successes - according to the "happy sheets" at the end.
