Team , I need your views and references for uplifting the First Level supervisors , who have come up from the ranks .Typically , such supervisors were promoted from the workmen category and we need to create a 6-12 months training course for them to upgrade them and enhance their effectiveness.
Ideally , a certified course which calls for necessary qualification at the end ,shall be the mendate . I am seeking some references of proven agencies , who have been part of such turnaround .

Hi Raj,

At VCCircle Custom Training, we had recently worked on a similar issue with a client. In this case, the first time managers were graduates with 5-8 years of experience. Due to the organization's culture they were using a carrot & stick approach for getting things done. Moreover, there was no focus on team development.

VCCircle Custom Training designed and delivered a 9 month long intervention which comprised of 3 workshops on Managing to Leading (Understanding self, understanding team and developing team potential). This was supported by a team project and monthly review sessions. At the end of the program, we were able to achieve the targeted return on training effectiveness.

Just like every individual is different, organizations are different as well. Hence, we would be able to suggest a solution post a detailed discussion with you.
