Hi All,
Have a doubt, my friend got terminated few years before but she didnt get any termination letter. She got her full and final settlement and also experience certificate. Now is it possible to get relieving leter? If yes, then how to proceed further on this?

Dear Tanushiya
As your friend got the F&F Settlement and Experience Certificate, the same can be used as relieving letter. What is the purpose of getting one more relieving letter. While leaving the organization, she might have got the clearance certificate duly signed by all the departments, so that the F&F Settlement was done. Hence no need to worry about the relieving letter.

Does this Experience letter mentions anything about the cause of separation/reason for leaving ? The necessity for a Relieving Letter per se would be realised only if and when your prospective employer might insist for such a document. My fear it, May be at this point of time it could be a deciding factor. The Cause of separation wherever mentioned is a vital documentary proof for removing any iota of doubt might looming large on your past performance. If possible better obtain it. I don't want to sound a negativity but as a precaution. Moreover a Relieving Letter would mean and understood as 'No dues' from you. Best of luck.

Your friends requirement is fulfilled by her full and final settlement and the most by receipt of experience certificate. Experience certificate is very omportant as compared to a termination letter for the purpose of her future employment..

Looking at the facts mentioned by you in the query, it is quite possible to get the relieving letter, if you need it.
Of course I do not understand (as other seniors have asked) why you need it all when you have F & F settlement letter and also the experience letter.
All the best.

Reason for termination should be specific, please specify on what grounds your friend got terminated few years back. IF he or she has no fault then can claim the reliving letter
