I received offer from cognizant on 06-Jan-2016.

I am a 7 years experienced professional, in these 7 years i have changed about 5 companies

Unfortunately i didn't had relieving of my first employer, this information was told to the Cognizant HR before they had released the offer.

After releasing the offer, i was directed towards a portal where i had to upload all my originals scanned documents.

I also got in touch with my first employer, and requested them to give me my relieving letter, which they politely did.

Now, when i go to the portal to upload the documents, the portal allows me to upload all the documents except the first employer's relieving.

Also, i am unable to 'submit' the documents from the online portal.

I have sent umpteen number of mails to the recruiter, the on-boarding team, and the BGV team of cognizant, but all of a sudden they stopped replying.

I fear that the more they delay, the more my joining delays.

I have to relocate from Gurgaon to Hyderabad.

What to do? How to proceed?

I have already resigned from my current employer, and am about to finish up with my notice period.

Dear Abhishek,
This might sound like a preliminary question, but have you resigned from your job ?
Unless the HR team responds, there is nothing that you can do. You have made everything clear, hence the ball is in their court.
Would request you to focus away from this job, unless they communicate with you.
Wish you all the best!

Thanks for the response (Cite Contribution). Yes, i have resigned from my current job. I am also looking out for other options. But i was relying on cognizant for a lot of other factors as well.

Hi Madan,
Thanks for your reply.
I have zipped all of my documents and emailed the HR.
She hasn't reverted back till now, and it has been a week.
The person responsible for my recruitment sits in Kolkata, whereas my joining is in Hyderabad.

Dear Abhishek,
I don't think, not having a relieving letter from the first out of the past 5 employers can be having any impact, but of course, your habit of freqyently quitting employers would have put a negative impact on the new recruiter. Frequent fliers are normally not relied upon by standard employers.

Hi PSDhingra,
If that would have been the case, then they shouldn't have released the offer letter.
I have spent 3 good years with my current employers.
The reason for changing jobs frequently was asked to me by the HR in the interview, and i told her that i started working when the recession hit the country, and i had to switch jobs in order to match my salary as per the market standards.

Hi Abhishek,
Firms dont consider your prior work experience without a relieving letter. Or you can try showing them your appointment letter and the last pay stub as proof of your experience. In your case, since the offer is already released, relax. Kindly allow the HR to get back to you rather than reminding him again and again. They will be having other offers to be released as well and take part of tasks prior to onboarding and that could be the reason why he is not getting back to you.

This is Jagan, I got an offer from CTS and they set the joining date as 6/6/2016. i was asked to complete my Onboarding and pre-joining formalities.
I want to change my DOJ to 13th June 2016. I was asked to contact my recruiter regarding this but unfortunately i can't reach my recruiter, either by both mail and over phone.
Can you please help me in this issue? I would like to join by coming Monday,I Have already Sent Umpteen Number Of Mails To The Recruiter, The On-Boarding Team, And The BGV Team Of Cognizant but getting only auto reply.

From India,
Very simple! If not available on phone or email, you have to meet the recruiter personally, otherwise you lose the chance.

Hi Jagan,
I understand your situation, since i have been through the same. If you want to join, just barge into there office with your offer letter and get the joining.
Another thing that you can do is post the query that you have on the facebook/twitter page. They are super active over there.
The reason the HR is not responding over the phone/email is because there are huge number of joinees they are dealing with. Moreover the emails coming from the outside domains mostly go in SPAM/JUNK for cognizant employees.
As a cognizant employee, we can't do much from the inside. Infact you can do a lot from the outside.
