Salary is very sensitive issues for all employees and source of livelihood. Its the duty of the employer to disburse salary on time. Before tat you can have word with your management and if nothing happens then I would advice the day your salary is credited in your account ( not the day you receive the cheque) you may put down your paper and discuss the same with your management stating the issues you are facing.
As you have mentioned you may not receive clearance and service letter, so you may show your account statement to your future employer and try to convince mentioning the situation you have and reasoned you quit your previous job. Hope your employer will understand.
