Human Resource Manager
Learning And Development

Hi, everyone. I am working on a project that majorly concerns the professional issues and challenges faced by HR Managers. The profile of my interest is recruitment. In the course of my study, I have interacted with a few HR Professionals and come across the following points that are prevalent in organizations.
1. Adherence to labour laws and increasing employees' familiarity with the same.
2. High volume of recruitment drives to be done in a short span of time.
3. Time management and prioritization. Ensuring that the issues are handled quickly, without compromising on quality of service.
I request you all to kindly give your inputs for the same to make my study more productive and informative. Thank you.

HR Recruiters rely heavily on social media to promote their organizations and the job openings available to attract candidates with the required qualifications. Thus, I believe that another major challenge that HR recruiters face is to have good IT and social media skills.
Hi Aradhya. Thank you so much for your valuable opinion. Social media is undoubtedly taking over the world, and has become a major source of awareness.
Hello, Sukhmani. I am in complete agreement with the points that you have stated. But since your major focus is on recruitment, I would like to add something more specific. From my experience, I can say that conducting telephonic interviews is one of the major challenges that HR Recruiters face. Factors that contribute to this tedious process are firstly the unavailability of the candidates at certain times, and differences in time zones while recruiting international candidates. However, one of the major concerns with telephonic interviews is the issue of genuiness of the candidates, and therefore questions pertaining to authenticity arise. Since it is a common practice that Recruiters come across candidates who do not report their skills and qualifications honestly, it makes the recruitment process more cumbersome and time consuming, which somehow relates to your third point of discussion.
